Martin Springett is the RoSFest featured artist for 2022. Martin has been an illustrator of fantasy book covers and children’s picture books since 1984, when he illustrated the covers for Guy Gavriel Kay’s classic fantasy trilogy, The Fionavar Tapestry. Over the last seven or so months, the RoSFest Board of Directors has been faced with the arduous task of making a multitude of decisions; some relatively easy, some not so! That said, selecting the festival’s official photographer was definitely one of the easiest! Florida-based, Joel Barrios, is a familiar face to many of you, and not just our RoSFest regulars, others will have seen him in action at ProgStock, Prog-Power USA, Cruise to the Edge… But his concert photography and talents don’t stop there, as a highly recommended visit to his website will tell you. Joel doesn’t just photograph what happens on stage, he captures the energy and the essence of the live performance, and in so doing every image echoes his own passion for the live experience. His offstage photography and graphic design are equally inspired as can be seen from his many projects (Joel has worked with the likes of Mike Portnoy, Neal Morse, Flying Colors, Spock's Beard and many more besides).
